Amazing fellow with some wisdom for NZ. Asked why do minorities that are lagging behind not change their political loyalty and he replied that it was apparent that it was not in the leaderships interest to devise ways of improving the lot of their constituents and then loosing their control !
Now does that mean Maori leaders want to remain leaders so hold on to the purse strings ….. or
Labour needs the Maori vote so keep em reliant on Labour hand outs to retain the votes !
Now that was the view as best I can interpret from the foremost negro economist and social commentator in the US.
Makes one wonder.
